A superb antique Edwardian Sheraton revival marquetry inlaid display cabinet attributed to furniture makers and retailers EDWARDS & ROBERTS. This late 19th century regency type side cabinet is a piece of furniture which would suit being used as a sideboard chiffonier credenza having a flat top to display clocks/bronzes/porcelain etc with an original gilt brass pierced gallery; below which are two enclosed doors centred by marquetry panels with inlay depicting musical instruments. This is flanked by two astragal glazed doors with glass shelves; beneath which are four drawers. The whole is linked by a shelved undertier and raised on tapered legs with spade feet. The mahogany is a very good quality fiddleback and is crossbanded in satinwood with boxwood and ebony stringing. This piece has been fully restored , polished and the interior relined and is ready to place in the home.
